Our Story
Who do I think I am?
I am a man with an affinity for the spicier side of life, seeking to extend the lifespan of local landfills by diverting food waste back into the soil of local growers in an effort to provide residents with food(and hot sauce) with higher nutritional value.
What do I want to accomplish?
With the influx of migration to Florida(approx. 3000 people/day from 2020-2023), there was concern of the effect that it would have on our landfills and sought to do what I could to help extend their lifespans. Enter food waste reduction. By diverting the food waste of local businesses and residents we can extend the life of our landfills and strengthen the soil health of local growers in the process.
Why do I do it?
I do it because I want to make a difference. At the very least, my intentions are to inspire and encourage others to make a difference as well. I believe we can accomplish this change through the shared love of hot sauce and the preservation of the local lifestyle.
How can you help?
If you're too far for our compost pickup routes/drop-off sites, find one in your area!
I am also extending the recycled bottle project to the internet, and offering free hot sauce for any bottles that are sent in. Click here to learn more about this.
At the very least, please feel free to support us by signing up for our sauce subscription box to save money or buy a bottle full price! Every little bit counts.
